I have had this product for over 2 years now and I love it. I have read other response about how difficult it is to clean. You are talking about a massive grill that sits in your yard get some degreaser and blast it with your hose. cleans up great. I have no problems with this grill. It is a must have for the true BBQue enthusiast. I use my for BBQ comp, I am able to have a fire on one side and cook passively. I took the charcoal grate out because of how close it keeps the coals, if you remove that one and put in a 22″ grate for a standard weber and put it in the bottom it will keep your coals at a better distance and it is big enough so the 3 vents on the bottom can still breath. Love the lid design and the holder system that is made for it. I would recommend this product to anyone.

One of the first things you would notice when you look at this grill is its short stands. This may be excellent for bag pack campers but it may prove quite hazardous for your back if you are using it in your backyard or garden. This is obviously because you will need to bend down frequently when cooking. This makes cleaning easier and more convenient because you can quickly dispose the ash by just detaching the tray, just like the Weber One Touch Silver Charcoal Grill. You also will not find many versatile grills which lights charcoal using gas. Lighting charcoal using this technique can take as little as ten minutes and you will not to bother applying lighter fluid or use a chimney starter.There is no need to purchase any special gas equipment as the Weber Performer grill uses disposable propane gas canisters, ones you can easily find in the supermarket.

What we also like about this Weber Charcoal grill is its cooking performance and versatility. There is plenty of cooking space on the cart-like grill. This Charcoal grill also includes useful features such as an inbuilt thermometer, work table, lid catcher and storage space for unused ingredients and equipment. Other than these features, the main component of the grill which is the famous Weber Kettle Charcoal grill fulfills its job as an awesome grilling machine.

On the negative side, the only complaint I have come across was about the plastic work table. The problem was that the plastic table was not as sturdy as a wooden or metal table. Other than this, $320 for the Weber Performer Charcoal grill is quite a steal. You can purchase the kettle grill separately for around $100 but I think the extra features this grill contains is well worth the extra $200 or so.

Pros

As stated earlier, one of Char-Griller Outlaw’s biggest advantage as a charcoal grill is its large cooking surface area. It is quite a suprise that you can purchase the Outlaw Charcoal Grill for a low price of $173.85 when you consider how much you are able to grill on the charcoal grill in one go. You will also be surprised that the Outlaw Charcoal grill is constructed with heavy materials, which makes it durable. Hence, you do not have to worry too much about it breaking apart any time soon. Like the Weber One-touch, you can operate this charcoal grill as both a smoker and a grill. The wide functionality of the Char-Griller Outlaw makes it an attractive option for BBQ chefs of all level.

Cons

One problem with the Char-Griller Outlaw is the lack of airflow control feature. This means it can take a longer time for the grill to heat up and cool down as it is also very big in size. Beginners may also find it difficult to adjust heat temperature as a result of this problem.

Verdict

It is a surprise that the Char-Griller Outlaw is ignored by many reviews because I believe it is one of the best charcoal grill out there for its price range. It may difficult to assemble this charcoal grill but the time you spend on it will be well worth it as you will get some quality results, well you better hope so! The main problem which many customers encountered was the DCS gas grill’s durability. For example, one customer reported that within weeks of purchase, the plastic on the front knob melted and had to be replaced. Do not purchase the DCS 36 inch BGB36-BQAR natural gas grill. You are better off buying a gas grill of similiar price range such as the Weber E-420 or a small grill and replace it every few seasons. It is clearly an unpopular gas grill model based on the fact that there are many negative comments about it on various shopping sites such as Amazon.

So what is so great about the Big Green Egg XL? First off, it can generate high temperature due to its ceramic casing. Having a charcoal grill which has the ability to generate temperatures close to professional ovens you find in restaurants is a godsend and the Big Green Egg XL just happens to be one of the charcoal grills which can do so. Maintaining a high temperature to cook meat such as steak and turkey. Along with its grill ability, the Big Green Egg Charcoal Grill can also act as a smoker. It can hold low temperatures as well as as high temperatures, hence the versatility of this charcoal grill is what makes it so great. If you had enough of barbecuing for the day then you can easily cool the coal by simply shutting down the charcoal grill.

The Big Green Egg also has disadvantages although its problems does not really have anything to do with its ability to grill or smoke. Because of its smallness, you will not be able to host a big barbecue party as its cooking capacity is very small. Another problem is that the space between the charcoal and the grate is not very wide which means you need to take extra caution to avoid burning any meat or burger.
