What are the different types of barbeque grills
Earlier in the day, I posted an article about the return in popularity of the portable charcoal grill. I thought it would be nice to help you identify the different types of barbeque grills available in the market. There are three main types of BBQ grills: charcoal grills, gas grills and electric grills. Each of these different types of barbeque grills branch into smaller sub types as you will find there are the bulky sizes as well as the small ones.
Charcoal Grill
Currently, the most popular types of grills which BBQ enthusiasts use are charcoal grills. Why? People love the taste that the charcoal supplements the meat. Of course, you will only get it if you barbeque the meat properly but charcoal does add a desirable flavor which the other two cannot match. Another benefit of purchasing a charcoal grill is that there is large range in prices. If you have a limited budget then you can consider purchasing smaller and cheaper grills. If you have a unlimited budget then well.. suit yourself and find what is best for your needs. Small grills can cost as cheap as $30 while the more sophisticated charcoal grills may come at a price of a few hundred dollars.
Gas Grill
Next in the popularity list comes the gas grills. What makes a gas grill better than a charcoal grill is its grilling versatility. It is easier to control the temperature of the grill by adjusting the volume of gas. Charcoal grills on the other hand requires labor and dirty work to maintain the temperature inside the grill. Just like charcoal, gas grills can be extremely cheap if you purchase small ones which can handle a few burgers and steak. If you are looking for more sophisticated and large gas grills then bear in mind that it will cost quite a bit.
Electric Grill
Coming in third place is the electric grill. These grills can be considered the most modern and has become popular in recent years. It should be noted that electric grills are more of a kitchen item than an outdoor appliance. Electric grills tend to come in small sizes but you can also purchase a large cart-style grill which can handle a lot of food in one go. The biggest disadvantage of electric grills is that they are generally more expensive than the charcoal and gas grills. However, if you want the easiest of controls then electric grills are what you should aim to purchase.
